Popular Anambra-based cleric Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has accused some Nigerian Christian clerics of staging fake miracles, claiming that the practice has become widespread in churches.
The cleric made the remarks during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he expressed concern over what he described as the growing prevalence of staged miracles in Nigeria.
“Arrangees [staged miracles] in churches are becoming too much in Nigeria. That is why I don't go to other clerics' churches as guest minister. I have turned down a lot of invitations,” he said.
Odumeje maintained that the miracles performed in his church could be verified, claiming that the identities of those who reportedly experienced them were documented.
“The miracles we do here, we see their faces. You can take their names and verify,” he added.
The cleric further claimed that no Nigerian Christian minister could perform miracles like his, with the exception of the late Prophet TB Joshua, whom he described as his “father in the Lord.”
